Zach Hallstrom

Zach Hallstrom has spent over 15 years working in scheduling and construction management for some of the largest general contractors in the industry. Mr. Hallstrom has a B.S. in Building Science, and has been a Senior Scheduling Engineer, Schedule Manager, MEP Project Manager, Superintendent, and an Assistant Project Manager. As a Scheduling Manager, he trained hundreds of staff in best scheduling practices and Primavera P6 scheduling, while also providing management and oversight of a scheduling team jointly managing over 30 projects ranging in value from $20M to $450M. Mr. Hallstrom was also the Scheduling Manager for the construction of Seattle’s “Climate Pledge” arena, valued at over $1B.

Mr. Hallstrom is a certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) with AACE International, and was featured in the December 2019 AACE’s Source magazine December 2019 for his involvement on the Rising Professionals Committee.

Mr. Hallstrom has experience on arena, biotechnology, data center, healthcare, government, higher education, high rise, industrial, laboratory construction projects throughout the United States.

    • Managed a team of schedule engineers for the King’s Bay Dry Dock Recapitalization Project in developing baseline schedules and management of the phased project completion plan on a $600M project for the US Navy. The project plan was developed and completed during an immovable 15-month outage of the largest covered dry dock in North America. Led all scheduling efforts including bi-monthly reporting to NAVFAC supporting monthly pay applications from the cost-loaded schedule.

    • Developed and managed the CPM schedule for a $1B arena in Seattle, WA. Implemented the 4D Synchro Model using the BIM data and P6 schedules to communicate the plan to complete complex temporary roof shoring, mass excavation, and structural steel interdependencies on the project to both the internal contracting team and owner.

    • Developed and managed the CPM project schedule for a $260M hospital project in Asheville, NC. Analyzed and submitted time extension requests for excusable and compensable delays due to weather, change orders, and unforeseen conditions.

    • Provided schedule support and leadership for an ENR leading GC’s entire Boston Business Unit, including training of best practices and on-site support, including baseline development and delay analysis with recommended improvements.

    • MEP Project Manager leading the start-up and quality programs for a 65,000 square foot data center facility in Marlborough, MA. The data center housed a 19,000 SF data hall supported by Tier III mechanical and electrical systems able to increase from a 1.3-megawatt to 2.65-megawatt load in a future facility expansion.

    • Superintendent responsible for construction operations and safety during the renovation of a 186,500 SF biotechnology manufacturing plant in Boston, MA, including managing BIM coordination, start-up, energizing, and commissioning of all permanent equipment.

    • Assistant Project Manager leading electrical construction, submittals, and other construction management tasks on a $1.5B, Tier III Data Center in Saratoga Springs, UT, with over 1M SF of build-out. Of the 1M SF, 100,000 square feet was built for highly classified government cybersecurity data, requiring precision in establishing a reliable power grid.
