ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Mr. Jackson Rifkin has performed quality control, change management, and cost estimation on active commercial projects. He has also performed retrospective delay analysis, cost analysis, and schedule management on projects ranging from $25M-$200M.

Mr. Rifkin has a B.S. in Building Construction, with a focus in sustainability, from Virginia Tech. After earning his degree, he served four years on active duty in the Army. While stationed in Germany, he gained substantial experience working alongside NATO allied partners in complex operational settings.

His leadership experience, paired with his time on live projects, gives him a unique and tailored approach to problem solving. He has experience working on assisted living, multifamily, and residential, and heavy civil construction projects.

    • Performed retrospective Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) using the “half-step” method to quantify and evaluate critical delays on behalf of the general contractor and project owner of a $200M drainage improvement project for the City of Charleston.

    • Performed retrospective TIAs on behalf of the general contractor and owner of a $62M wastewater treatment plant located in North Carolina.

    • Leveraged pivot tables and data visualization tools to organize, categorize, and communicate general conditions costs and cash flow on behalf of project owners and contractors for live construction projects valued over $90M.

    • Served as a Project Engineer for a $30M four-story assisted living facility, and two additional apartment buildings, located in the Richmond Historic District. Performed material procurement projections pertaining to the building envelope’s exterior finishes and was held responsible for overseeing the installation of all Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Streamlined the residential unit inspection process to reduce the amount of rework by an estimated 15%.

    • Conducted undergraduate capstone research on sustainable building solutions and net zero energy efficiency, focusing on LEED certification standards and best practices to analyze the impact of green building strategies on environmental performance and occupant well-being.
