Matt Parks is a construction professional with over 20+ years of experience delivering complex construction projects as a General Contractor and Senior Construction Project Manager, now specializing in construction analysis, project controls, and schedule and cost performance evaluation.

His career includes direct responsibility for projects including ground-up, new construction, upfit and major renovations, in the Commercial, Religious, Medical, and Residential sectors, where he led preconstruction planning, contract negotiation, schedule development, cost control, procurement, trade coordination, and project closeout. This hands-on leadership experience allows Mr. Parks to analyze construction disputes, delays, and cost impacts with a practical understanding of how projects are planned, built, and executed in the field.

Mr. Parks provides schedule reviews, delay, and disruption analyses, change order evaluation, cost impact assessments, and project controls support, applying real-world construction knowledge to schedules, cost reports, and productivity data analysis.

Mr. Parks’ ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, well-supported narratives makes him an effective liaison between owners, contractors, consultants, and legal counsel. He brings a field-tested perspective to forensic analysis, ensuring conclusions are grounded in actual construction means, methods, and sequencing.

    • Served as the lead project manager and field architect of an award-winning architectural home, Artemis Ridge, overlooking Asheville. Responsibilities included CPM schedule creation and maintenance, cost tracking, procurement planning, subcontractor coordination, and change management. Developed recovery schedules and mitigation strategies to address design changes, procurement delays, and field conflicts.  Build costs totaled $6.2 million.

    • Served as the General Contractor for the upfit and conversion of a former dentist office into Kilgo Eye center. Oversaw all phases of construction from preconstruction, contract development, estimating, schedule development through procurement, all construction phases to close out and warranty period 

    • Served as General Contractor for the installation of East Fork Pottery retail space in the central business district of Asheville. Managed detailed estimates, value engineering exercises, and constructability reviews. Provided schedule logic and phasing strategies during early design stages to reduce risk and improve project outcomes.  Oversaw project through completion.

    • Coordinated architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors across multiple disciplines. Served as primary point of contact for owners and stakeholders, ensuring alignment between contractual requirements, schedule performance, and cost objectives.

    • Traveled throughout central and southern Chile (SIT: Economic Development & Globalization), meeting with sawmill stakeholders to understand cost drivers, labor dynamics, and export supply pathways for construction-grade wood products serving North America.
