Alaa Hashem is a construction professional with over four years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling. He specializes in delay analysis and construction claims, preparing Time Impact Analyses (TIA), as-planned vs. as-built comparisons, and critical path evaluations to assess entitlement and quantify delays. He has supported high-value infrastructure and building projects by developing baseline schedules, performing schedule updates, and analyzing schedule impacts, delays, and damages.

Mr. Hashem is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), and has successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. He has attained his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University.

His industry experience includes key construction roles in New York City and Egypt. Mr. Hashem has managed project controls and scheduling for projects ranging from $45M-$100M. His work experience also encompasses comprehensive time impact analysis, cash flow forecasting, and risk assessments for major projects in the United States.

    • Led CPM scheduling for the $90+ million LIRR Hall Interlocking Expansion at Jamaica Station, involving installation of a new railroad bridge, tracks, and turnouts, and developed contractors Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reports and delay analyses to assess critical path and delay entitlement.

    • Managed scheduling for a $45M, five-station subway renovation project on the Broadway/ 7th Avenue Line, developing the cost and resource-loaded baseline schedule and performing monthly schedule updates and performance analysis.

    • Contributed to scheduling and project controls for a $100+ million, ten-story academic building in New York City, including smart classrooms, studios, student assembly spaces, and administrative offices.

    • Managed scheduling for a $40M tunnel facility monitoring and safety systems upgrade in New York City, developing the preliminary schedule, cost and resource-loaded baseline schedule, and performing monthly schedule updates.

    • Developed prospective Time Impact Analysis (TIA) for the contractor.

    • Conducted half-step forensic schedule analysis on a three-building, nine-story residential development in Florida, analyzing critical path shifts, concurrent delays, and cumulative impacts.

    • Developed detailed density charts to analyze labor productivity trends, sequencing inefficiencies, and performance variations across major work activities on multiple projects.

    • Prepared comprehensive As-Planned vs. As-Built schedule comparisons to identify critical path activities and delays, critical path shifts, and cumulative impacts to project milestones.
